Introduction

The search for the Supreme God and His abode has been a fundamental pursuit in spiritual and religious traditions across cultures. Many scriptures, including the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita, provide profound insights into the identity of the Supreme God and His eternal dwelling place. A detailed analysis of these scriptures reveals that the Supreme God is Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb), and He resides in Satlok (Sachkhand), the eternal realm beyond material existence.

Evidence from the Vedas

The Vedas, considered the oldest and most authoritative scriptures, repeatedly describe a Supreme God who has a unique identity and divine characteristics. Several verses from the Rigveda confirm His existence, actions, and abode:

  1. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 94, Mantra 1

    • This mantra states that the Supreme God behaves like a poet and walks on Earth like a poet-philosopher.
    • The word "Kavir Dev" is used, which translates to "God Kabir", confirming His identity.
    • This verse establishes that Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) physically manifests on Earth to impart spiritual knowledge.
  2. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 95, Mantra 2

    • This verse states that the Supreme God takes a bodily form and provides the true path of devotion.
    • He reveals secret mantras necessary for liberation, just as a boatman helps people cross a river.
    • This aligns with Bhagavad Gita 17:23, which mentions "Om Tat Sat", where "Tat" and "Sat" are hidden mantras revealed by the Supreme God.
  3. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 20, Mantra 1

    • This mantra declares that Kavir Dev imparts true spiritual knowledge and is indestructible.
    • He is the protector of souls and silences false arguments in spiritual debates, proving His supreme authority.
  4. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 54, Mantra 3

    • This verse confirms that the Supreme God resides above all universes.
    • It states that He remains established in a higher realm, just as the Sun remains above and benefits all beings.

Evidence from the Bhagavad Gita

The Bhagavad Gita, a revered scripture in Hinduism, also provides evidence of a Supreme God distinct from the Gita’s speaker (Krishna). Several verses clarify this distinction and reveal the true Supreme Being:

  1. Bhagavad Gita 8:9

    • This verse describes the Supreme God as eternal, self-illuminated, and beyond material nature. The word "Kavim" has been mentioned which translates to Kavir Dev.
    • These attributes match the description of Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) given in the Vedas.
  2. Bhagavad Gita 17:23

    • This verse mentions "Om Tat Sat" as three distinct words associated with Supreme God.
    • Among these, "Tat" and "Sat" are hidden mantras, which, according to Rigveda 9.95.2, are revealed only by the Supreme God to a true devotee.
  3. Bhagavad Gita 18:62

    • The speaker of the Gita (Krishna) instructs Arjun to seek refuge in another Supreme God for ultimate liberation.
    • This confirms that Krishna is not the Supreme God but is instead directing Arjun towards a higher divine entity—Kavir Dev.

Where Does the Supreme God Reside?

The Supreme God resides in Satlok (Sachkhand), a divine realm described in various scriptures:

  1. Rigveda Mandal 9, Sukt 54, Mantra 3 explicitly states that the Supreme God is seated above all universes.
  2. Satlok is an eternal world, free from birth, death, suffering, and sorrow. It is described as a place of infinite bliss and divine radiance.
  3. Bhagavad Gita 15:17 also confirms that the Supreme God is different from both perishable and imperishable entities and is superior to all.

Conclusion

From the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita, it is evident that the Supreme God is Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb). He physically appears on Earth to guide souls toward true devotion, provides the correct spiritual path, and reveals hidden mantras essential for salvation. He resides in Satlok (Sachkhand), the eternal supreme abode, far beyond the material universes governed by Kaal. To attain liberation, one must follow the true path of devotion prescribed by Him and seek guidance from a Tatvadarshi Saint, as mentioned in Bhagavad Gita 4:34.
