What is the True Meaning of Salvation, and How Can It Be Attained?
Minutes to read.
Salvation (moksha) is the ultimate goal of human life, as described in the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita. It refers to the complete liberation of the soul from the cycle of birth and death (samsara) and its reunion with the Supreme God in His eternal abode, Satlok. However, there is widespread confusion regarding what true salvation is and how it can be attained. The scriptures provide clear guidance on this matter, emphasizing the role of Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) as the Supreme God and the necessity of a Tatvadarshi Sant (true saint) for attaining salvation.
1. What Is Salvation?
Salvation is not merely escaping from suffering or achieving a state of mental peace. It is the permanent release of the soul from Kaal's trap and attaining the eternal, blissful realm of God.
Bhagavad Gita’s Definition of Salvation
- In Bhagavad Gita 15:17, Lord Krishna states that beyond the perishable beings and the imperishable soul (Jeevatma), there exists the Supreme God (Purushottam), who alone grants salvation.
- Bhagavad Gita 18:62 instructs Arjuna to take refuge in that Supreme God, who alone can provide ultimate liberation.
The Vedas on Salvation
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 54, Mantra 3 states that the Supreme God resides above all universes and purifies everything, confirming that true salvation means reaching His divine realm.
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 96, Mantras 16-20 describe the Supreme God as one who imparts spiritual knowledge in poetic form and reveals the true way to attain liberation.
These references confirm that salvation is not merging with formless energy (as falsely believed) but attaining the Supreme God’s eternal, personal realm where the soul lives in divine bliss.
2. Who Is the Supreme God Who Grants Salvation?
The Vedas and Bhagavad Gita identify the Supreme God as Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb).
Bhagavad Gita’s Reference to Kavir Dev
- Bhagavad Gita 8:9 mentions the Sanskrit word Kavim, which refers to the Supreme God. This is the same as Kavir Dev, proving that Kabir Saheb is the liberator of souls.
Vedic Evidence
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 95, Mantra 2 states that the Supreme God descends to Earth in a bodily form and provides the true method of worship. This aligns with Kabir Saheb’s historical appearance in 1398 CE.
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 20, Mantra 1 confirms that Kavir Dev provides true knowledge and refutes false spiritual beliefs, guiding souls toward liberation.
Thus, the Supreme God is not Kaal (the speaker of the Bhagavad Gita), but Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb), who alone can grant true salvation.
3. How Can Salvation Be Attained?
The Vedas and Bhagavad Gita provide a clear path to salvation, which includes:
(A) Finding a Tatvadarshi Sant (True Saint)
- Bhagavad Gita 4:34 states that to gain true knowledge, one must seek a Tatvadarshi Sant who knows the Supreme God and His method of worship.
- In the present era, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is the only true saint revealing the correct way to attain salvation as per the scriptures.
(B) Chanting the True Name of God
- Bhagavad Gita 17:23 mentions the mantras "Om Tat Sat," where "Tat" and "Sat" are hidden names of the Supreme God, revealed only by a true saint.
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 94, Mantra 1 states that the Supreme God reveals secret names necessary for liberation.
- The correct mantras (Satnaam and Saarnaam) are provided only by a Tatvadarshi Saint, and chanting them with devotion leads to salvation.
(C) Worshiping the Supreme God as Per Scriptures
- Bhagavad Gita 18:66 instructs devotees to abandon all other religious practices and surrender to the Supreme God for liberation.
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 54, Mantra 3 confirms that Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) governs creation from beyond all universes, proving that only His worship leads to true salvation.
(D) Following the Disciplines of True Devotion
- Worshiping deities like Brahm (Kaal), Vishnu, Shiva, Durga, or other gods and goddesses cannot lead to salvation, as they themselves are trapped in Kaal’s cycle.
- One must abandon idol worship, false rituals, and unscriptural practices to follow the path of true devotion as per the Vedas.
4. What Happens After Attaining Salvation?
A soul who follows the correct path of devotion attains Satlok, the eternal kingdom of the Supreme God.
- In Satlok, there is no birth, death, sorrow, or suffering. The soul enjoys everlasting bliss and divine presence of Kavir Dev.
- Rig Veda, Mandal 9, Sukt 96, Mantras 16-20 confirm that the Supreme God has a divine form and eternal abode where liberated souls reside forever.
- Once a soul reaches Satlok, it never returns to the cycle of birth and death (Bhagavad Gita 8:16).
Conclusion
The true meaning of salvation (moksha) is escaping the bondage of Kaal and reaching Satlok, the eternal realm of the Supreme God (Kavir Dev). The Vedas and Bhagavad Gita confirm that:
✅ Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) is the Supreme God who grants salvation.
✅ Salvation is attained through the correct mantras (Satnaam & Saarnaam) given by a true saint.
✅ The current Tatvadarshi Saint is Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
✅ Following the correct method of worship as per the Vedas leads to eternal liberation.
Thus, only by taking refuge in Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and practicing the true worship of Kabir Saheb can a soul attain complete salvation and enter Satlok for eternal bliss.
