Ask Supreme Guru - Is There a Place Beyond Heaven?

A Scriptural Analysis from the Vedas and Bhagavad Gita

Many religious traditions consider heaven (Swarg, Jannat, Bahisht) as the ultimate reward, but the Vedas and Bhagavad Gita reveal a higher, eternal abode beyond Swarg, known as Satlok (the Eternal Realm). This divine realm is distinct from all material worlds and is the final destination for those who seek true liberation (moksha). In gita it has been addressed as "Shasvat Sthan" (gita 18.62). In Sikhism it is known as "Sachkhand" This essay provides scriptural evidence from the Bhagavad Gita and the Vedas to prove the existence of Satlok and how it can be attained.

1. Heaven (Swarg) vs. the Supreme Abode (Satlok)

A. Heaven (Swarg) is Temporary – Bhagavad Gita 9:20-21

“Those who perform Vedic rituals and worship demigods attain heaven (Swarg). There, they enjoy divine pleasures, but after their good karma is exhausted, they are reborn on Earth. Thus, heaven is not permanent.” (Gita 9:20-21)

This verse clarifies that heaven is not eternal; it is a temporary reward, and souls must return to the cycle of birth and death after their merits are exhausted.

B. Even the Highest Abodes are Perishable – Bhagavad Gita 8:16

“All realms, including Brahm Lok (the abode of Brahm), are subject to rebirth. But those who do not know this, they even after attaining me are reborn.” (Gita 8:16)

This verse reveals that even Brahm Lok (the highest material realm) is not eternal. Only the Supreme Abode (Satlok) grants permanent liberation.

2. The Supreme Abode Beyond Heaven – Bhagavad Gita and Vedas

A. Bhagavad Gita 8:9 – The Supreme God is Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb)

“One should meditate on the Supreme God, who is omniscient, eternal, the ruler, subtler than the subtlest, the sustainer of all, beyond material darkness, and self-luminous like the sun.” (Gita 8:9)

The Sanskrit word ‘Kavim’ (कविम्) in this verse refers to Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb), as confirmed in Rigveda 9.96.16-20, which describes Kabir Saheb as the Supreme God who resides in Satlok.

B. The Vedic Description of Satlok – Rigveda 9.96.17-18

“The Supreme God, Kavir Dev, resides in a divine, eternal realm. His form is self-illuminating, and He grants true knowledge to the deserving souls.”

This verse describes Satlok, the eternal dwelling place of God Kabir, which is beyond the material universes and superior to Swarg or Brahm Lok.

C. The Supreme God Resides Above All Universes – Rigveda 9.54.3

“This Supreme God, like the Sun, purifies everything and remains beyond all material worlds.”

This confirms that God Kabir resides in a place higher than all universes.

3. How to Attain the Supreme Abode (Satlok)?

A. Bhagavad Gita 8:3 – Who is "Tat Brahm" (The Supreme God)?

In Bhagavad Gita 7:29, Arjuna asks about Tat Brahm (the Supreme God beyond Brahm/Kaal). In response, the speaker of the Gita answers:

“Tat Brahm is the eternal Supreme Being.” (Gita 8:3)

This confirms that there is a God beyond the one speaking the Gita and that His eternal realm (Satlok) is the true destination for liberation.

B. Bhagavad Gita 18:62 – Surrender to the Supreme God Beyond the Speaker

“O Arjuna! Take complete refuge in that Supreme God. By His grace, you will attain eternal peace and the Supreme Abode.” (Gita 18:62)

Here, the speaker directs Arjuna to surrender to a different Supreme God. This Supreme God is Kabir Saheb, as confirmed by the Vedas and Gita 8:9 (Kavim = Kavir Dev).

C. Bhagavad Gita 15:4 – The Need to Attain the Eternal Abode (Satlok)

“After attaining that Supreme State, one does not return to this mortal world. One must seek the Supreme God, from whom the ancient creation has originated.” (Gita 15:4)

This verse confirms that there is a Supreme God beyond the Gita’s speaker, and reaching His eternal abode (Satlok) ensures permanent liberation.

D. Bhagavad Gita 17:23 – The Hidden Mantras for Liberation

“Om Tat Sat” is said to be the threefold mantra for attaining the Supreme God.” (Gita 17:23)

‘Tat’ and ‘Sat’ are hidden mantras that lead to Satlok and liberation. These mantras can only be revealed by a Tatvadarshi Saint (Bhagavad Gita 4:34).

E. The True Saint Who Can Lead to Satlok – Bhagavad Gita 4:34

“To understand the Supreme Truth, approach a Tatvadarshi Saint. Serve him humbly and ask sincere questions. He will impart true knowledge.” (Gita 4:34)

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is the Tatvadarshi Saint of this era, revealing the path to Satlok through correct worship and the true mantras.

4. Conclusion: The Supreme Abode Beyond Heaven

From the Bhagavad Gita and Vedas, we learn:

Heaven (Swarg) is temporary – Gita 9:20-21
Even Brahm Lok is perishable – Gita 8:16
The Supreme God is Kavir Dev (Kabir Saheb) – Gita 8:9, Rigveda 9.96.17
The Supreme Abode is Satlok – Yajurveda 40:8, Rigveda 9.54.3
The path to Satlok is through Tat Brahm’s mantra – Gita 17:23
A Tatvadarshi Saint (Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj) can guide the way – Gita 4:34
The speaker of the Gita directs surrender to a Supreme God (Kabir Saheb) – Gita 18:62
Gita 15:4 states that the Supreme Abode must be sought for liberation

Thus, the final destination beyond heaven is Satlok, the eternal dwelling of God Kabir. Only by taking refuge in the true Saint (Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj) and following the correct spiritual path can a soul attain permanent liberation (moksha) and escape the cycle of birth and death.
